What triggers our values?
So I was really thinking about our discussion in class today. And I was wondering what really does trigger our values; our emotions, God, our thought process, society? My view is that God first triggers our values. Then I believe our emotions and experiences regarding certain things sways us to adopt a certain belief. Then the challenges of society pushes us to either question and dismiss those values or strengthen them. What does everyone think?

God!
If God was standing before us and said, "you have two choices either you can leave with me now or you can stay here with your family, while the world gets worse and worse," which one would you choose? Would you rather be with God and no longer have to suffer the weights of the world, or to suffer with everyone else, only being able to ask God questions of "why"?

What If?
What if our current being in the world today did happen to be a dream? When we finally woke up would we appreciate it and learn from it....or would we forget about it as soon as we started to move ahead further in our real lives?

Why?
After reading the discussion board for this week i've been thinking...why is it that our society would rather enjoy the pleasures of entertainment rather than gain the knowledge through education and experiences?Instead many people substitute their books for video games, sitcoms, movies, music. What is it in the entertainment industry that has captivated people so much that they begin to think that it is all life is about? Several people don't care to work hard to be able to grasp all concepts of life other than what is fed through a t.v. screen or radio station. Why? I want other people's views on this issue.

Free To Be You!
Does the denial of the existence of God derive from fear of people putting too much faith into a religion that isn't guaranteed to hold truth or simply because human beings feel they should have the power to determine their own outcomes?
